We start carving a precious stone.

In this blog post we will start with the process of carving a precious stone from the beginning.

The first thing that we must be clear about is that the stone is what we are going to carve and from there start making good decisions.

The raw material of Gemological materials is usually expensive, so we must treat it with great care, thinking very well every step we want to take.

To begin the process of Faceting of our Precious Stone, the first thing is to choose what type of material we are going to use.

We will start by carving a quartz and we will choose it from among the pieces that we have in our stock.

Here we have Citrines and Amethysts.

Both are varieties of quartz. On this occasion I want to face (Carve) an Amethyst.

Once we have decided what material I want to carve, we will choose the rough piece with the most suitable form for our Carved Amethyst project, taking into account the shape final that we want to obtain.

We suppose that we have an order of a first quality natural Amethyst in cushion size (Cushion).

This piece is very suitable for our order

Now that we have clear the raw piece of amethyst, we will start with the internal analysis of it.
